This is my drawing for day eighteen of Inktober. I don't usually double-post my Inktober stuff, but I just really like this one and I wanna show it off. I started with a watercolor wash, then did the lines of binary code with Staedler pens. I was going for kind of a Matrix feel (well, actually The Matrix stole that from Ghost in the Shell, so I guess I was going for a Ghost in the Shell feel ) Anyway, I did the lineart with a Sharpie and some gel pens, then dry brushed on more watercolor because that is how I roll. Ta-daa! For the record, this is my first time drawing Shinya, and his hair is a lot harder to draw than you'd think. Like, it looks like stereotypical spiky anime hair, but if you don't draw it just right it looks off. Also, I'm not 100% happy with how I drew the eyes, but whatever. Practice makes perfect, right? I wanna do another drawing like this of Akane, I'll have to do that tomorrow.
