I'm aware they want the literacy status of every Filipino to increase but they're doing it the wrong way and it will be just another problem. I studied two years in public. In 3rd year, we were 80. In 4th year, we were 94. Now in college, we're at least 34. If you compare the classroom in my high school and in college, my college classroom is BIGGER than my high school rooms.

Yes,,, they can't just fit 60+ students in one classroom and in some public schools, others are still forced to pay... Also,, the government themselves says that only 7 among 10 Filipinos graduate from high school,,, in college,,, 3 of them will stop from studying then only 2 will graduate college and only 1 from the two will have a work,,, they must prioritize the needs of the people not what they want! :))
Kamusta, my fellow Filipina :)) That additional years in education is a bullsh*t. LOL. Seriously, I'm lucky that I did not experience that. I'm a college freshman. I like the agenda of educational upgrade but the timing is so wrong at this moment. We still have the problems of lacking classrooms, chairs, books, teachers, and more stuff. And that's just adding the years of burden in every poor family. Instead of working butts for 4 years, your parents will die themselves for 6 years for your baon and the family as well. I'm sure you get what I mean :))
Then, we are just on the same boat after all,,, :)) I am also a Filipino but I am just a Sophomore in high school,, BTW,, what do you think of the 8 years in elementary and 6 years in high school?? :))

@Anya Alstreim98:
True. Only a few of us were able to study in private colleges/universities. Most of my classmates are in public and unknown ones.
